Nach der Versenkung der [[Alderpool]], der [[Westpool]] und der [[Indier]], schoß Rosenbaum, am 03.05.1940 um 05:32 Uhr, einen Torpedo auf einen Tanker. Dieser Torpedo traf die British Viscount in der Mitte. Nach einer riesigen Stichflamme, sank das Schiff innerhalb von acht Minuten. Der Kapitän und 27 Besatzungsmitglieder kamen ums Leben. 18 Besatzungsmitglieder und 2 Artilleristen wurden vom britischen Zerstörer HMS Havelock (H.88) gerettet und in Liverpool (Großbritannien) an Land gesetzt. |
